A wild guess is always welcome

I'm one of the seven bloggers to receive a 'Stylish Blogger Award' from World of fashion inspiration's Nura.  Hurrah!  I just love this girl and her blog, she is utterly one of the cutest and colorful person in this blog-world!  Check her out, satisfaction guaranteed!
Ps. Thank you, Nura!

Now I have to share 7 facts about me (have I done this before?):
1. I realize I'm overly positive most of the time.  I can cheer myself up easily even in those worst situations. I'm afraid of myself sometimes.
2. One of my worst flaws is my ability in spending money. I still find it really hard to save and live on a budget, eek!
3. I'm so full of myself that no one can bring me down, except for myself.
4. I demand to win in any kind of debates I got into, no matter how false my statement is.
5. I'm so clumsy that I drop almost every precious things I own. Here are some: dropped my cell phone in an elevator and only realized it when I got into car, dropped my iTouch into a filled bathtub, left my bag in a restaurant that the waiter had to chase after my car as I drove away, poor guy!
6. I'm horrible at cooking, except for instant noodle, and always cause messes in the kitchen.  My cooking is either too salty, over cooked, burned, taste like feet, the list goes on.  I'm almost banned from the kitchen.
7. I don't have many girl friends in real life.  Mom and some friends told me it's because I'm too manipulative, quirky, and such a tease.

Er... it looks like a list of flaws, indeed!

Please feel free to share 7 Facts About You, I tag everyone who's interested!

Because we still haven't gotten much snow here in New Jersey, I decided to post some pictures from last year in the old condo, with many pieces of memories about the Monsieur.  See the transition in my expression?  I was all happy until I had to clean my car.  Hah!

It's phenomenal how it all comes together

So this super gorgeous lady with her million dollar smile, Angga of reserveradefashion, passed me this blogger interview about a week ago.  I decided to do it in this post.

Please feel free to pass it on as you like!

Why did you create your blog?
I actually created one about a year ago, but it was a private blog just for me and the Monsieur to access.  Last April when we called it quit, I felt all silly so I deleted the whole thing.  I wanted to do something different because blogging is actually really fun! Then one day I browsed around and came across many inspiring fashion blogs such as Twitch Vintage, Selective Potential, and Glisters and Blisters.  Fashion has always been one of the things I'm so passionate about, even though I don't really follow the trends.  So I decided to change it into a fashion mixed with personal journal sort of blog at the end of August this year, and I have lots of fun with it and because of you girls!

What kind of blogs do you follow?
I adore street style with a touch of vintage, and everything vintage inspired!  I also love reading life journey of each blogger, it all makes me realize how fascinating this life is, and it makes me love this life even more!

Favorite make-up brands?
MAC (foundation), Estee Lauder (mineral powder), and especially Lancome (blush, eyeliner, brow pencil, lip color).

Favorite clothing brands?
No specific brand.  It always depends on what I see, how it looks on me, and my budget.

Your indispensable make-up product?
I only put on mineral powder and blush on regular day and add eyeliner and mascara for particular event.

Your favorite color?
I like to play with colors, so I don't have any specific one for outfit.

Your perfume?
I finished Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scent spray about a month ago.  And I always go for softer scent.  Currently using Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme for men, inspired by one of my best friends.

Your favorite film?
Too many to mention!  But my preferences are always horror and thriller genre.

What country would you like to visit and why?
I've always wanted to visit Peru for its Machu Picchu, have been obsessing about it and its history since junior high.

It took me 2 weeks to finally eat this pie.  It was too pretty and I backed out each time!

Red Tuesday

Another acceptable thing about my current job is that I'm allowed to dress up casually, to be in my most summer mood.  Sunny and light.  It feels like I could jump and walk around, all day.  Summer is a month left, why not make the most out of it?

Since I've been trying to have my own savings, I try to dine at home during weekdays.  It is hard, and boring.  The fact that cooking is obviously what I'm not good at, or something that I'm interested in.  My family do the cooking most of the time, but when they are not around, I pretty much suffer with my limited choice of home meal.  So I try to change my dinner mood by spicing up my surrounding.  I've proven that you can create you own little 'Eat, Pray, Love' moment at home.  Sit by the window, make sure that it's open to feel the wind, play your favorite TV show or movie, don't forget a blanket so sit on.  The iPad was there simply because I needed to charge the battery.  I have huge space in the living room connected to the balcony, but I just felt like eating in my room this evening.

Story of a chilly weekend

Wedges
Never big with heels, it's either they hate me or I was just not born to wear them (always wondering how those girls walk around in out-of-mind-inches heels for miles).  Either way, they are just my excuses.  But these 2 inches wedges from Naturalizer are exception.  Light and comfortable.  But still, I got them for about a month already and only wore them once.

Movies
The Expendables and Eat, Pray, Love.  Not disappointed but just dissatisfied.  The Expendables, both Sylverster Stallone (who happened to direct and write the screenplay) and the production crew, and Sylverster Stallone and the other actors, I believe they can do much better.  Everything was too blurry, storyline and character wise.  Eat Play Love, the sceneries were spectacular.  Never been to Italy nor India.  But I missed Bali terribly, then.  I just didn't get or feel how she really got back on her feet after those trips (well, and find love again).  Maybe I should consider reading the actual novel.

Beach
I love my Amore oversize flowery cotton t-shirt (intentionally bought it in size L).  Chilly days made me realize that summer is really going to be over soon, in a month or so.  I always love beaches in summer time.  Beach towel, sound of wave, clean sand, clear blue sky, iPad, and sushi were my today's paradise.

Something borrowed
My first e-book since I got my iPad.  I haven't been reading for a long time.  I was searching for something light, and entertaining.  Emily Giffin got pretty good reviews on her ChicLit series and this was the first of her 'something ...' series.  I have only read up to the second chapter.  So far so good.  It's about two girls who happened to be best friends ever since high school.  So this Rachel girl had all these envious toward her best friend, Darcy, in a good way (this book was based on her point of view, though).  She described Darcy as the girl who 'had it all' type.  And on her just turn 30th birthday (still single and hasn't found the job she really likes), she accidentally slept with Darcy's fiancĂ©, Dexter.  FYI, it is on the big screen production now, and to be aired in 2011.  Kate Hudson (Bride Wars) will play Darcy and Ginnifer Goodwin (He's Just Not That Into You) will play Rachel.  John Krasinski (The Office) will play Ethan (Rachel's puppy love who Darcy dated for two weeks).  We'll see how it turns out.

Dream a little dream of her

Taken with the panoramic capture feature of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W370, quality is bad (the room is not this dark, goddammit) but at least it captured almost the entire room.

Bed frame is Carina Bengs' of Sweden design.  The reason I got this bed frame was simple because of its vintage inspired headboard.  Eiffel towel wall decal.  Photo clip for my candid photographs.  Some guy used to tell me how 'Asian' my bed sheet was.

The bedside transparent table.  Pink flower coin bank.  15 minutes sand/hour glass.  Old Motorola phone as morning alarm.  Red heart shaped iPod speaker.  Free earphone from American Airlines.  The good thing about this bedside table is that you can take off the top and store stuff in it (Crayon Shinchan comic books, red puppy soft toy, 2010 glow in the dark glasses from some guy).

This was supposed to be a coffee table.  Picture only showed 75% of the table.  I used to use it as dressing table before I got the actual dressing table.  4 frames with no pictures.  Fedora hat with feather and bow.  Black ceramic oil burner.  Pink mirror I got from some guy's office.  Home fragrance oil set (green tea and line dried cotton).

The remaining 25% of my so called 'coffee table'.  White Fujifilm instant camera.  The only frame filled with my graduation pictures.  Old brown ceramic oil burner.  Pink Lomography Fisheye camera.  2 collectible pocket Buddha (Pink = peace, Purple = wisdom).  Green cap mushroom from Mario Bros.

White wardrobe for storing bed sheets, unused stuff, stuff from some guy, boxes, basically trash.  Black and white Zooey Deschanel, Rachael Yamagata, Katie Herzig, Audrey Hepburn, Alison Goldfrapp, Charlene Choi, vintage shoot from a vintage shop.  Birthday wishes from some guy, and the bff in SG.

The actual dressing table.  I wanted the white one, but bought the black one by my own mistake, which is also more expensive, too lazy to go back for exchange.

The desk.  Joan Jett and the Blackhearts vinyl-disc/LP record.  Vitamin.  Bottle of water.  The ballerina.  Beauty from Beauty and the beast (a souvenir from Disneyland).  The frog (a souvenir from Germany).  Smirnoff Orange Flavored Vodka from some guy.  Laptop.  Blackberry and iPod charger. Vintage looking girl wall decal.
The white side table.   HP Photosmart C5580 All-in-One printer, scanner, copier.

Time

Each time, when I wish that time will just slow down or can be fast forwarded.  It works on reverse.  And I believe it's human nature to wish for such non sense.
The fact is, time runs at the same speed, at all times.  Everything is just in our head.

So long, Graduate school

Saturday, June 26th, I have officially completed my Master degree.  After the past 3 months of struggling with the thesis, and all those days with assignments, quizzes, term papers, exams.
How do I feel?  Very relieved!  Looking forward to more accomplishment.  Taking yoga class, French class, and culinary class (maybe) for a start.

Well, hello Master of Science in Information Systems.
