Some envy others and others don't mind

I know it's just a coincidence, but it still makes me feel like I have just jinxed it.  Earlier today I told one of my friends that finally the snowing day of the season is over.  And bhammm! here comes sudden warning that another snow is coming later tonight, for up to 6 inches.

I'm getting so used to having Louie Louie on my bed when I sleep, that I couldn't sleep well when she is not there with me.  Er... I guess I'm the spoil one here.

Best friend just told me today that he has broken up with his girlfriend.  All he could say to me was that they had too many issues and he didn't feel like working it out anymore.  Then I went to see another friend today for catching up, and all she did was reminding me of the Monsieur.

 Got this head and ears warmer from ASOS, the weather was actually above 40 degrees for the whole week and it just dropped back to 30s today that I finally got to wear it.  It was not so comfortable at first due to my floppy ear.  Hahah...

Small matters might grow

Hah!  I feel like a criminal for not making a post for more than a week.  This blog has been part of my life for half of 2010.  2011 so far has been the busiest time of my life.  Here are my list of excuses.  Pardon me.

I was offered a part time job at a CPA office.  At first, they wanted me to work twice in the weekdays from 6 to 10 PM, and Saturday 11 to 6 PM.  Now they want me to work every weekday and Saturday.  So basically I work 11 hours per day, except Saturday and Sunday!  The pay is not bad and dinner is provided, since I don't have much accounting background and experience (I got my Master in Information Systems), I think it will be a very good experience for me.  Keep telling myself to hang in there, until April 18, when tax time is over.

  Also feel guilty for Louie Louie, I only get to see her and play a little bit with her in the morning and after work.  Therefore, I bought her this sparkling black dress.  Hahah...

Found the house I really like.  It's a 3 bedrooms, 2 and a half bath townhouse with a garage and basement, and I super adore its wooden exterior and interior.  A little outside my budget but I think it's worth it!  Crossing my fingers so hard now, because I'm so close to the closing deal with the price that I offer.  I will post pictures once it's officially mine.

He is so so so adorable that I wish I could keep him in my pocket, FOREVER!  Get well soon, Mister (:

Unlike disputes, disasters are not foreseeable

The wind walks in front of us, the swinging skirts are drawing circles

Eek, I never felt this silly before!  Met someone new.  He was so awkward but I think it's so adorable.  I just can't help to giggle each time we talked.

We have had 8 snow storms since Christmas.  Can you believe that?  Here are some pictures.  I still think that snow is pretty.  But the mess that it causes, it's so whatever.  They called it the beauty that kills.

A start depends on a finish

I love life!  It's just filled with great surprises each and everyday.  I never expected 2011 to be such a busy start.  I've been really busy with work and got another raise (yay!), so it's so worth it when we are dedicated and put our heart into what we do.

We got snow here almost every week!  What's the weather at your location?

 I join the gym again with a friend, so we could motivate each other to hit the gym at least four times a week.

There's some delay with the house hunting, but I think it's better not to rush into things.  I realize buying a house is not like buying a car or dress.  Heheh!   So I decide to slow down and make sure I make the right choice.

Louie Louie is getting better.  I found someone to take care of her while I'm at work, I do have to spend some money but I think it's fine.  I have her to walk Louie Louie twice a day and brings her to the dog park to play.

Despite the fact that the Monsieur and I may never go back to that path, I'm glad to still have him around, when I need him, about anything, I know he is still there for me. 

 And gosh, I miss blogging and you guys!  My busy life has taken so much time that I barely have free time for myself to just  surf the Internet or read blogs.

A finger points, a hand joins

I was told many times to get a flu shot in each winter season.  I never bothered because I was fine each year.  Now, I've learned my lesson, it's better to prevent than cure.  I got really sick for 3 days straight and is still recovering now.  I never felt this sick before.  Glad that I'm feeling much better now.  That is also the reason why I haven't made a blog post or check out / comment on your blogs (I miss you guys heaps!).

So while I was away, these two super stylish and nice ladies, Carina of BadTasteToast and Mona of La Bohème, passed me another Stylish Blogger Award (2 awards at the same time, HURRAH!) in which I appreciate so much!  This has just made my boring resting day at home, heheh!  I'm supposed to post 7 facts about me, but I have done this before, so I'm going to share the link HERE.

Latest picture of Louie Louie.  Robyn of Twitch Vintage (psychic lady?) got it all right, Louie Louie does has 'stink eyes' (she does it so often!) and is very sassy.  She is not afraid of big scary looking dogs, she barked back at them and chased them around!  And to answer one of your questions, yes, I got her name from the song by The Kingsmen after dancing to that song a lot from the Wii (RIP).  She is still a handful, even the Monsieur said that I'm not ready to take care of anything yet but myself.

Hurrah!  Boss has agreed to cosign for my mortgage.  I'm so excited for house hunting now.  Aiming for 3 bedrooms townhouse.

Came back from checking Louie Louie.  Caught her trying to eat her own poops!

Just called the vet.  He laughed at me because I sounded upset asking solution about Louie Louie eating her own poops.  But according to him, it's very normal for puppies to eat their own poops, I just have to go and pick up the medicine for that.

Been talking to the Monsieur for advise about house buying.  Just glad to have him around again especially at this time because he is so familiar with this subject.

The Monsieur was so silly the other day when he tried to cheer me up with his ' cup of hot chocolate' talk.  Weeh!

Washed hair and just replied an email from the Monsieur.  I'm getting more excited about getting my own place!

Will talk to best friend for a little bit, he was not so happy that I've been 'abandoning' him lately for Louie Louie.  Will then clean Louie Louie, make a blog post then call it a night.

Hello Eleven!

Each morning since Saturday, I woke up and still trying to adjust and believe that 2010 is really over.  2010 has been an amazing year to me, there were some down part, but this is life not Santa Claus.  I've been really lucky my whole life because I always seem to get anything I want and need.  I honestly think that I myself is never truly a good person because I always put myself as priority but people around me are always so wonderful, from family, to friends, even my boss and people that I see randomly.  I couldn't ask for more!  I'm crossing my fingers that my life will stay this way forever.

So what did you guys do on New Year Eve?

I was at Amber Lounge in New York City with a bunch of people.  Open drink and sushi bar, dancing all night.  Who could say no to that?  Here are some pictures to share.

I don't dare to even step on my scale, have overloaded myself with food and holiday season is always a happy moment.  Now that it's over, I'm thinking about hitting the gym and finally will be able to get back to my regular blogging schedule.  2011, so excited and many more to look forward to!

Let's close 2010

I know I have been away for a while from blog world.  Who would know a little life decision could change your life.  So I got a puppy, we named her 'Louie Louie', never knew before how handful it could get to look after a puppy.  She is a Shih Tzu.  Fortunately, I have my family and friends around who are so willing to help.  I got sick and was overwhelmed for few days, along with the snow storm, it just got me nowhere.  But I'm fully recovered now!

Here are some pictures for the little Christmas party at a friend's house with some of the girls, myself, and Bug.  There were 8 of us, all girls and my brother.  It was super fun!  My friend is such a good cook.  She prepared a lot of food and in the end we couldn't finish everything and we had to return the next day for dinner.  Then we spent the night dancing, laughing, gossiping and watching '500 days of summer'.

Got this dress from TwitchVintage, the sparkles just fit the Christmas mood so fine.

Office!  It is super windy and cold outside.  I just can't help but wish to wake up to a warmer weather every morning.

Have to do the customer service job because the customer service guy is away.  Dislike it when have to deal with customer who speaks in a very different accent, it takes so long just to understand her.  But just glad that we work it out in the end.

Just had one of the best Korean instant noodle that my colleague bought for me, it looks funny because the sauce is black but it tastes really good!

Boss wanted me to send the Monsieur and his gang a holiday e-card the other day.  It just makes me sad the fact that I have to send him this very formal message and he replies in also a very formal way.  I rather not to have any contact with him at all.  I miss him, miss how much fun we had at this time last year.

Done rearranging my office space, looking nice and loving it!  Going to leave now.  A friend just texted, will meet her and her boys after 7 for dinner.  She told me the other day how her boys have been asking about me, haven't seen them in a month!

Home!  So we went to this Hibachi restaurant, have lots of fun and loaded ourselves with food.  As much as I love the boys, I still freak out and all dizzy being around kids for too long.

Now talking with best friend and so not in the mood with all his teases.  So I grumble, grumble and grumble.  Now he has to try so hard to please me.  It was fun, though.  Heheh...

Going to make a blog post then head to bed, tomorrow will be a cleaning day for me because it's been too long since I last cleaned the house!

The Wii is all broken now.  Gah!  Bro has been trying to fix it since yesterday but the damage is fatal according to some website.  Now we can't even try out the new guitar hero and rock star set.

On my way to pick up a friend and share a car to another friend's house.  We are going to an animal shelter because she wants to get another dog.

We decided to go to the animal shop where my friend got her dog 2 years ago.  I'm so happy!

I fall in love with a 2 months old female Maltese, she is the cutest and prettiest!  So precious.  It was so funny that she was trying to play with my friend's dog but she was ignored, like totally.

Just had the best Sushi dinner, it was actually a buffet, but all Sushi, called Sushi Palace in Princeton (just 10 minutes away from my house).  Everything was so wonderful!  You get to request any kind of Sushi from the menu, then the Sushi master will make it for you.

At friend's place.  We are going to watch Black Swan in an hour.  Now we are making mini pies to enjoy with a cup of tea.

Black Swan was so good and most of us are satisfied, except one friend who always prefers light, funny and cartoon sort of movie.  I would say it is in my top 3 most favorite movie of the year.

Now I have to share 7 facts about me (have I done this before?):

1. I realize I'm overly positive most of the time.  I can cheer myself up easily even in those worst situations. I'm afraid of myself sometimes.

2. One of my worst flaws is my ability in spending money. I still find it really hard to save and live on a budget, eek!

3. I'm so full of myself that no one can bring me down, except for myself.

4. I demand to win in any kind of debates I got into, no matter how false my statement is.

5. I'm so clumsy that I drop almost every precious things I own. Here are some: dropped my cell phone in an elevator and only realized it when I got into car, dropped my iTouch into a filled bathtub, left my bag in a restaurant that the waiter had to chase after my car as I drove away, poor guy!

6. I'm horrible at cooking, except for instant noodle, and always cause messes in the kitchen.  My cooking is either too salty, over cooked, burned, taste like feet, the list goes on.  I'm almost banned from the kitchen.

7. I don't have many girl friends in real life.  Mom and some friends told me it's because I'm too manipulative, quirky, and such a tease.

Er... it looks like a list of flaws, indeed!
