Let's close 2010

I know I have been away for a while from blog world.  Who would know a little life decision could change your life.  So I got a puppy, we named her 'Louie Louie', never knew before how handful it could get to look after a puppy.  She is a Shih Tzu.  Fortunately, I have my family and friends around who are so willing to help.  I got sick and was overwhelmed for few days, along with the snow storm, it just got me nowhere.  But I'm fully recovered now!

Here are some pictures for the little Christmas party at a friend's house with some of the girls, myself, and Bug.  There were 8 of us, all girls and my brother.  It was super fun!  My friend is such a good cook.  She prepared a lot of food and in the end we couldn't finish everything and we had to return the next day for dinner.  Then we spent the night dancing, laughing, gossiping and watching '500 days of summer'.

Got this dress from TwitchVintage, the sparkles just fit the Christmas mood so fine.

Have to do the customer service job because the customer service guy is away.  Dislike it when have to deal with customer who speaks in a very different accent, it takes so long just to understand her.  But just glad that we work it out in the end.

Just had one of the best Korean instant noodle that my colleague bought for me, it looks funny because the sauce is black but it tastes really good!

Boss wanted me to send the Monsieur and his gang a holiday e-card the other day.  It just makes me sad the fact that I have to send him this very formal message and he replies in also a very formal way.  I rather not to have any contact with him at all.  I miss him, miss how much fun we had at this time last year.

Done rearranging my office space, looking nice and loving it!  Going to leave now.  A friend just texted, will meet her and her boys after 7 for dinner.  She told me the other day how her boys have been asking about me, haven't seen them in a month!

Home!  So we went to this Hibachi restaurant, have lots of fun and loaded ourselves with food.  As much as I love the boys, I still freak out and all dizzy being around kids for too long.

Now talking with best friend and so not in the mood with all his teases.  So I grumble, grumble and grumble.  Now he has to try so hard to please me.  It was fun, though.  Heheh...

Going to make a blog post then head to bed, tomorrow will be a cleaning day for me because it's been too long since I last cleaned the house!

The Wii is all broken now.  Gah!  Bro has been trying to fix it since yesterday but the damage is fatal according to some website.  Now we can't even try out the new guitar hero and rock star set.

On my way to pick up a friend and share a car to another friend's house.  We are going to an animal shelter because she wants to get another dog.

I fall in love with a 2 months old female Maltese, she is the cutest and prettiest!  So precious.  It was so funny that she was trying to play with my friend's dog but she was ignored, like totally.

Just had the best Sushi dinner, it was actually a buffet, but all Sushi, called Sushi Palace in Princeton (just 10 minutes away from my house).  Everything was so wonderful!  You get to request any kind of Sushi from the menu, then the Sushi master will make it for you.

At friend's place.  We are going to watch Black Swan in an hour.  Now we are making mini pies to enjoy with a cup of tea.

Black Swan was so good and most of us are satisfied, except one friend who always prefers light, funny and cartoon sort of movie.  I would say it is in my top 3 most favorite movie of the year.

Now I have to share 7 facts about me (have I done this before?):

1. I realize I'm overly positive most of the time.  I can cheer myself up easily even in those worst situations. I'm afraid of myself sometimes.

2. One of my worst flaws is my ability in spending money. I still find it really hard to save and live on a budget, eek!

3. I'm so full of myself that no one can bring me down, except for myself.

4. I demand to win in any kind of debates I got into, no matter how false my statement is.

5. I'm so clumsy that I drop almost every precious things I own. Here are some: dropped my cell phone in an elevator and only realized it when I got into car, dropped my iTouch into a filled bathtub, left my bag in a restaurant that the waiter had to chase after my car as I drove away, poor guy!

6. I'm horrible at cooking, except for instant noodle, and always cause messes in the kitchen.  My cooking is either too salty, over cooked, burned, taste like feet, the list goes on.  I'm almost banned from the kitchen.

7. I don't have many girl friends in real life.  Mom and some friends told me it's because I'm too manipulative, quirky, and such a tease.

Er... it looks like a list of flaws, indeed!

Because we still haven't gotten much snow here in New Jersey, I decided to post some pictures from last year in the old condo, with many pieces of memories about the Monsieur.  See the transition in my expression?  I was all happy until I had to clean my car.  Hah!

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain, so loving it.  Saw a message from best friend, and replied.

Supposed to see a friend in half an hour but can't get away from the window, enjoying the rain while reading Shopaholic and Baby.

Ok.  Don't panic.  I believe he will understand, that I'll be an hour late when I told him we should be able to eat at 1, kind of forcing him to wake up earlier today, and haven't seen him for more than a month.  Gah!  Who am I kidding.

Just threw him my best 'puppy eyes', he finally smiled.  Now we are catching up.  Hurrah!  Now he is talking about his new stock market obsession for this past month.  Can't help but think about the Monsieur, we used to watch the stock market together almost everyday and texted each other when he had to be away.

Arrived at the seafood buffet place.  Food looks awful.  He was asking if we should go somewhere else, but I'm too hungry to go for another round, and the fact that he took the wrong exit when we were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago.

We figured the food was that horrible when we paid the bill, because it was so cheap, only $10 per person!  But it was fun because we got to laugh a lot about the food and somehow forgot about its awfulness.

He talked about the grand opening of a Korean supermarket across the street, so here we are.

It was so fun and such a festive opening!  Food testing was everywhere, so we basically tried almost everything, especially me.  And I got my free blackberry flavored cotton candy!

Just got out from Macy's with 2 huge plastic bags.  We tried on all levels of comforters and pillows on Macy's bed, it was so fun.  We giggled hysterically, good that there was not many people around.  He got a Level 2 comforter, and I got a really nice feather pillow and a duvet set.

Back at his place, we were both so thirsty because of laughing too much.

We tried on the new comforter in his duvet cover, was a little smaller but fine, then I helped him with his laundry for a bit.  He asked me to stay longer because he enjoyed having me around.

Home!  Picked up a large pepperoni and meatball pizza and some groceries.  Time for new episodes of Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters.

Some guy is just so creepy!  Have known this guy for a long time and haven't seen him in a while, thought it should be fine to remain friendly being in touch with him again lately.  He's been trying to 'express' (according to him) his admiration toward me, thought he was just kidding.  And he just told me that sometimes he thought of me while jerking off.  Euwh, euwh, euwh... will never see him again!  And have blocked all contacts from him!

I'm very glad of having this daily journal.  It enables me to track back my activities and expenses.  Just found out there's a charge of $78.66 made to my account from Anthropologie online last week, in which I never purchased anything from that store online.  Have filed for a dispute right away.

Gah!  It turns out it was the online purchase I made from Urban Outfitters.  How would I know the charge is shown as 'Urban-Anthropologie'?  Have emailed the bank for dispute cancellation.

Now best friend is mad that I compare him with the Monsieur.  But it is so sweet that he said he could also protect me in his own way.  I realize everyone is different.  Somehow I naively wish I could meet someone that get me like the Monsieur does.

It's phenomenal how it all comes together

So this super gorgeous lady with her million dollar smile, Angga of reserveradefashion, passed me this blogger interview about a week ago.  I decided to do it in this post.

Why did you create your blog?

I actually created one about a year ago, but it was a private blog just for me and the Monsieur to access.  Last April when we called it quit, I felt all silly so I deleted the whole thing.  I wanted to do something different because blogging is actually really fun! Then one day I browsed around and came across many inspiring fashion blogs such as Twitch Vintage, Selective Potential, and Glisters and Blisters.  Fashion has always been one of the things I'm so passionate about, even though I don't really follow the trends.  So I decided to change it into a fashion mixed with personal journal sort of blog at the end of August this year, and I have lots of fun with it and because of you girls!

What kind of blogs do you follow?

I adore street style with a touch of vintage, and everything vintage inspired!  I also love reading life journey of each blogger, it all makes me realize how fascinating this life is, and it makes me love this life even more!

Favorite make-up brands?

MAC (foundation), Estee Lauder (mineral powder), and especially Lancome (blush, eyeliner, brow pencil, lip color).

Favorite clothing brands?  

No specific brand.  It always depends on what I see, how it looks on me, and my budget.

Your indispensable make-up product?

I only put on mineral powder and blush on regular day and add eyeliner and mascara for particular event.

Your favorite color?

I like to play with colors, so I don't have any specific one for outfit.

Your perfume?

I finished Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scent spray about a month ago.  And I always go for softer scent.  Currently using Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme for men, inspired by one of my best friends.

Your favorite film?

Too many to mention!  But my preferences are always horror and thriller genre.

What country would you like to visit and why?

I've always wanted to visit Peru for its Machu Picchu, have been obsessing about it and its history since junior high.

Hurrah!  I have lost almost all the body fat I gained from Thanksgiving weekend food, was 126 lbs on Monday!  V. impressive!  Or maybe my scale has problem.

I want to laugh so bad but I can't manage anyone here in the office to think that I'm insane or something, so I keep grinning from ear to ear.  I just got a super special early Christmas present!

Got my paycheck and monthly bonus check.  I don't just get a paycheck every month, but also bonus check every month!

Just told my best friend about it, he was all jealous.  We've been talking a lot lately, practically almost everyday!  I almost forgot how fun it was being with him.  We were so close before until he got a girlfriend who hated me, but he said he doesn't really care about it anymore.  I'm THAT important!  Heheh!

Suddenly thinking about the Monsieur and how we used to share so much.  I'm always too proud to admit, the fact that I miss him, terribly.  I miss him to the slightest thing we used to share like what we had for lunch.  Maybe it's just best to keep it all inside.

Hurrah!  Will leave in half an hour and few minutes!  Will go to Bank to deposit those checks, go home, do laundry, have half an hour of Just Dance 2 on Wii (v. good work out), then shower before Community, 30 Rock, The Office, then Outsourced!  I so love my every Thursday TV night with my phone off!

Gah!  Not everything was going as planned.  I forgot to bring my ATM card in order to make deposit, and I'm running out of time for Just Dance 2 before first TV show starts at 8 PM.

Showered, done with laundry, room is a little tidy now and has rearranged all the outerwear, I need a garment rack!  Wardrobe is running out of space.  Gah!  Promise self will clean room properly on weekend.

Those moments of bliss

I'm amazed, the fact that I might be the laziest blogger in promoting my blog and the content of my post is not interesting most of the time, I actually have 49 people following my blog.  My heart swells and swells because of you girls and it has been my habit to smile even more just by reading all the sweet comments from you girls!

Well, I better stop before I turn even sappier.  This post is about my last weekend in New York City.  Another reason I love this city is because I could never get bored of it!  The spirit of celebration is so transparent!  Christmas is about four weeks away but I almost believed that it was already Christmas.  And the fact that the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center was not even lit up!  I wish I have a better way in describing it.  Eek, I'm so silly!  Heheh...

It was actually snowing when I was in the shower.  First snow of the season, on Thanksgiving, and I actually saw it from my bathroom window!

Just watched an episode of the Golden Girls while having toast bread, then read a blog post from Selective Potential, she is always so cute and positive and inspiring!  I envy her life!

Missed a call from my aunt, she left a message saying that she expected us to go to her place at 1 PM.  I better hurry.

Home!  But will be heading out again soon for the black Friday sale at the Jersey Shore outlet mall. Hurrah! Will leave in less than an hour and have to pick up a friend.

Food was good, my aunt is an excellent cook.  And my gluten free pumpkin cheesecake from Whole Foods Princeton was so good that I ate 2 big slices!  And after about a year, I finally got to see Bug, my friend's dog, because they are joining us at my aunt's place.  I used to help to look after him when she was not around but my new apartment doesn't allow pets in the building.  And he still remembers me!  He kept on following me around (nobody but me, heheh!), while wiggling his tail.  My heart swells!

Then we watched The King of Persia, in which I fell asleep, and part of The Women until my aunt had to leave to meet her boss.

We are going to NYC tomorrow to stay over at my friend's friend apartment, who is traveling and left her key for my friend to stay as she likes.  Our plan is to visit the rooftop pub at 230 Fifth, then shopping and ice skating at the Rockefeller center the next day.  I'm crossing my fingers, hoping there won't be any cancellation!

Home!  Just checked some online deals, feeling kind of relief that nothing is quite interesting so I won't bother to buy anything.

Glad that I made it home in one piece, since I was the one who drove.  I think we shopped and walked around for like 5 hours.  Gah!  Have no idea how we even made it.

Better clean up and get ready to sleep.  Will sort stuff out tomorrow.
